小清新 xiǎo qīng xīn: A Chinese subculture

The words “清新” literally means “fresh,” and “小”means “little” – so a 小清新 is just like a little breath of fresh air.  Originally, “清新”  combined  a kind of fresh and beautiful AND Gentle music styles that are created independently by musicians. Later, with internet, it spreaded to photography, clothing ans design.   This subculture precedes mainly from China, it came up in the 80´s and 90´s. They are young women who are graceful, beautiful and high class. They like litarature, photography and indie music.
